Josh is a paraclimber based in Melbourne/Naarm, whose life took an unexpected turn in 2019, reshaping it significantly. Josh led an incredibly active life until a sudden incident left him unable to feel and use his lower limbs, leading to a 14-month pursuit of a Hereditary Spastic Paraparesis (HSP) diagnosis.

Late last year, Sia came to the rescue of a pair of hikers on the Staircase Spur Trail to and from Mount Bogong. She came prepared for all conditions and was able to revitalise the two adventurers with "warm dry clothes, food, hot water, a sleeping bag, and a magnitude of wisdom and kindness". The 12th edition of the Surf Coast Century was held on Saturday 16 September 2023 in Anglesea, Victoria, and has once again solidified its reputation as a premier ultra trail running marathon in Australia. 1,300 competitors from across the state and country showed incredible grit and perseverance in the glorious spring sunshine as they took on a challenge that many people would never have dreamed of.
