Bogong carries a huge range of outdoor footwear. We have a number of quality brands in each category because everyone’s foot is different. Brands vary in fit so this ensures your best chance of getting a good fit. All of these shoes are stocked in a full size range. Some brands offer more than one fit. For example Asolo offer models in narrow, standard and wide fittings as well as women’s specific fit. We have them all. Why go anywhere else for your footwear needs?

BUSHWALKING

Our large range of boots are arranged in general terms from the heaviest (read toughest) models at the top getting lighter as you go down the page. Select the appropriate model for your intended purposes. The advantage of lighter models means not only less weight, but generally quicker wearing-in time. However common sense will tell you that these models will not be as durable. Whether this is an appropriate trade off is up to the individual.
Different people wear boots out at different rates, sometimes for no apparent reason. However in general terms the bigger and heavier you are the faster the wear rate. Irrespective of the weight of the user larger sizes will always wear faster than smaller sizes. Tasmania and in particular New Zealand glacial moraine are particularly rough on boots.
