A WINTER TRAVERSE OF THE WESTERN ARTHURS, TASMANIA
Not the first choice for a bushwalk in June...
Curious to see just how bad it could be, Andrew Peters, Bogong staffers Jack Chenoweth and David Blundy, and Wilderness Shop staffer Tim Blundy, packed their woollies, headed south and attempted a winter traverse of the Western Arthurs in June 2012.
The Western Arthur Range is subject to some of the worst weather in Tasmania, warned the guidebook. Violent storms and snowfall occur every summer.

REEL ROCK TOUR 7 WAS HERE!!
A SELL-OUT EVENT – ONE MASSIVE NIGHT
On Monday the 22nd October 2012, over three hundred eager climbing fans descended on the Westgarth Cinema for the sellout screening of the Reel Rock 7 Film Tour. What followed was a ninety minute feastof heart stopping, sweaty palm inducing climbing action, featuring amongst others, the legendary Chris Sharma and the incredibly bold soloist, Alex Honnold.
