The Snowy Mountains Walks book has been the definitive guide to bushwalking in the Snowy Mountains since 1961.  As well as detailed descriptions of both day walks and overnight trips in the area, this book includes information on natural features and history. More than 25 walks are described, as well as cross-country skiing routes and caving options.Originally put together by personnel from the Snowy Mountains Authority, the book is now in it’s eighth edition.

The eighth edition marks 43 years of the Geehi Bushwalking Club’s activities in its spiritual home, the Snowy Mountains. As with it’s predecessors, the eighth edition contains the latest data on routes, vegetation conditions, and changed regulations collected by members of the club actually walking the trips described.

This book introduces the reader to the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. The region is part of the Kosciuszko National Park, one of Australia's largest and most beautiful National Parks.
