Set of three DMM Dragon Cams.
These highly innovative Dragon cams will be a hot favourite with climbers around the world. It was only a matter of time before DMM brought to market a single stem camming device to complement the existing 4CU range. After all this waiting DMM are certain they won’t disappoint with the introduction of the Dragons.
They have been designed without compromise to produce a blend of strength, lightness and functionality.
By hot forging the lobes DMM are able to make the cams super strong but also very light, and all the units are rated at 14 kN - 1.4 static tonnes!!
DMM has stuck with Ray Jardine's original 13.75° camming angle as it provides the best combination of holding power and range. Increasing the cam angle increases the range, but reduces the holding power and vice versa. DMM have also added stronger springs in the Dragon cams so the units have a greater initial hold against low friction surfaces or flared cracks and resist unwanted movement. This gives plenty of positional security.
Using a 5mm Duplex cable system on the stems allows the cam to have the same flexibility through 360º. Whether the placement is vertical or horizontal, you’ll reap the benefits. The cable assembly is overmoulded using Zytel, which with the trigger bar, offers great flexibility and durability. Zytel has proven characteristics in a variety of climatic conditions.
