The Grivel K6G Mega Twin Gate carabiner's pear shape allows you enough space for the rope to run, for a clove hitch or even several clove hitches. The double gate of the Twin-Gate system doesn't require any additional action (e.g. screwing), making it faster and safer than other systems. Furthermore, it better avoids accidental openings that can occur due to contact with rock, or slip-ups when clipping. Two levers also allow greater resistance than one. Finally, it maintains its functionality over time and is less affected by dust, soil and ice than other systems.
