The Grivel K6N Mega is a large screwgate carabiner ideal for belaying, or any other use where you need plenty of room inside the biner.
This HMS shaped carabiner is also good as part of an anchor system, with its wide working area. In fact this multi-purpose screwgate carabiner is ideal as a first carabiner to go with your first harness and shoes.
The Grivel K6N Mega carabiner is made from 7000-series aluminum. This alloy is the same that Grivel uses for ice axe shafts. It offers the best balance between weight, breaking strength and durability. Grivel carabiners are forged using the same technology that they use for their ice axes. Each carabiner is individually strength tested and has its individual test number laser carved on it.
