Store life almost feels normal now that events are back (like the Surf Coast Century!). Two of our staff (well, one staff member, one ex-staff member) ran events at the Surf Coast Century – a trail running event down in Anglesea, which finally went ahead after being postponed twice. With regional travel open again, our staff have already made trips to Gariwerd / the Grampians too.
As usual, we have new products constantly landing, even with international shipping delays. We're lucky to have a shop full of stuff, but the worldwide stock issues do mean that if you see something you need, best get it as if we run out, it may be a while before we get more.

New TC Pro
Climbing Shoe
The NEW TC Pro is here! The initial report from our staff member Will is that it fits much the same as the old version. It does have updates, that are mostly to do with making the shoe more durable: lace protectors where they tend to get a beating from jamming in cracks, and rand adjustments.
Finally, the TC Pro has been made more eco-friendly thanks to the use of La Sportiva's Eco Laces and Eco-suede upper (the tannery process is metal-free).

Craghoppers
Technical, quick-dry hiking shirts in larger sizes
A common grievance we hear from our customers is the lack of good technical collared shirts in larger sizes for hiking.
We now have Craghoppers collared shirts in larger sizes: Men's through to XXXL and women's to size 22. We also have Craghoppers Women's Kiwi Pro quick-dry trekking pants through to size 22. Of course, we have these products for smaller folk too!

Coloured Chalk
Get it!
With regional travel back in play now, our staff members have already made it out to Gariwerd / the Grampians, where they've been using our coloured chalk by The Agent. It was a huge effort getting this chalk specially produced for Australia. It's a particularly good match for Gariwerd/Grampians rock, thanks to pre-production testing by Bogong staff.
Our staff member Will has taken the picture above, and we've stuck some arrows in, to show the difference between regular white chalk and The Agent coloured chalk.

Sticky Rubber Resoles
Sticky Rubber Resoles is a two-person operation: Gery and Nat. They learned the craft of climbing shoe resoling by doing several apprenticeships over a few months in Europe.
Now they're back in Australia, and they've brought that technical expertise back with them.
We sent Nat and Gery a pair of shoes belonging to a Bogong staff member, and we can confirm that their work is a really high standard. They aim to return shoes to their original performance level. Having learned from an official La Sportiva resoler helps with that!

Surf Coast Century
Bogong store owner Neil Blundy and our staff member Lockie drove down to Anglesea this past weekend to set up a stall at the Surf Coast Century. They said it was a blast meeting all you trail runners.
Congrats to Bogong staff member Annie, who ran the 50 km event. Shout out also to Tom, who ran and also worked at Bogong previously!
