Bogong staffer Merv Trease recently competed in the Australian Rogaining 24 Hour Championships in the Atherton Tablelands, north Queensland with long time rogaining buddy, Vic Sedunary. The boys covered 77km of distance in fairly warmish weather (15-25 degrees) during the 24 hour event. Despite the challenging conditions they won the Men's Super Veterans Divison and came 9th overall! Merv tested out the new La Sportiva Goretex Wildcats. He says they did an excellent job of preventing spear grass and grass seeds irritating his feet during the race. Check out the Wildcats here. |
