The map highlights the main trekking route from Jiri to Lukla and on to the Everest Base Camp, plus several other treks: Gokyo Lakes, Island Peak (Imja Tse), Bhote Koshi valley to the Nangpa Glacier, as well as the route from Sagarmatha National Park westwards towards the peak of Gaurishankar. This title differs from the publishers’ Jiri to Everest map by also providing coverage south of the main route, with several treks in the area west of the lower reaches of the Dudh Koshi, around Pikey Peak, Phaplu, Salleri, Patale, etc. Contours are at 80m intervals, with bold relief shading and vegetation colouring. Index lists places, peaks, passes and lakes. Margin ticks show latitude and longitude at intervals of 5'. Additional information includes tables showing the main Everest routes, plus several other treks in stages with altitudes in metres and feet and trekking times.

Main trekking routes are prominently highlighted, as are selected settlements along them, indicating where tourist accommodation and other services are provided. Also clearly marked are campsites or base camps and various places of interest. The maps also show other local trekking paths, often providing variants or shortcuts to the main routes. Latitude and longitude coordinates are given as margin ticks at 5’ intervals.
