KONG HYDROBOT DESCENDER

The Kong Hydrobot is designed for canyoning, caving or any situation requiring an easy to manage abseling device. It can be used both with one or two ropes and it allows an easy change to enhanced braking mode under load. Because the Hydrobot remains attached to your harness while attaching ropes for abseil it avoids the risk of accidentally dropping the device. Because the rope runs directly through the device it avoids the rope twisting and avoids the wear of the connector. The charateristic which makes Hydrobot unique is the possibility to use it as auto-locking device in case of emergency ascending on one or two ropes (in connection with a Prusik knot). The possibility of overturning the central bar (fixed by a screw) allows the use by left-handers. Hydrobot is the only mountaineering device fitted with a magnet to retain the mobile bar!
