The La Sportiva Futura climbing shoe is among our most exciting arrivals in-store.

This high-quality climbing shoe fits like a glove, thanks to being unlined and sporting a soft tongue similar to the La Sportiva Solution's. The Futura has the same closure system that is fast and allows for a good, firm fit. This is quite a flexible climbing shoe, yet the anatomical support in the metatarsal region gives you enough structure for good edging. The toe has a delicate downturn – this, combined with the very thin rubber, makes the La Sportiva Futura a very sensitive climbing shoe. With La Sportiva's P3 platform (the yellow rand), the Futura maintains its downturn for a long time.

Thanks to the softness and structure of this shoe, it makes both an excellent gym shoe and outdoor shoe.

La Sportiva's No-Edge™ concept eliminates the traditional “edges” of the sole. This allows the foot to come into closer contact with the rock surface, thus enhancing foot sensitivity and allowing a greater, homogenous push on the hold. With the No-Edge™ construction, climbing becomes more fluid, instinctive and harmonious. This construction method generates from the Speedster model and is suitable even for less experienced climbers as it represents a less extreme version of the latter model. The Fast Lacing System is quick, precise and easy to pull on.

The La Sportiva Genius is a climbing shoe that performs in a similar way, but is design to suit a differently shaped foot.

Bear in mind that No-Edge™ technology can't be replicated exactly in a resole. The Futura has very thin rubber (3.5mm) – as such, it's suited to people with neat, precise footwork, people who train at a lower volume, or people very light on their feet.
