If you've ever had to lug your pannier around after riding to work, uni or the shops, you'll know why you need a Vario! The Ortlieb Vario QL3.1 is perfect for a big day out at the zoo, on a hike or just around town.
This waterproof pannier clips onto your bike rack. Then, when you reach your destination, just flip out the shoulder straps and you've got a comfortable daypack. It easily fits A4 files and a 15.4" laptop.
This version of the Ortlieb Vario features the QL3.1 mounting system, which is far superior to the QL2.1 system for a bag like this, thanks to its low-profile design.
The innovative QL3.1 system allows quick and single-handed fixing to and removal off the rack with a diameter up to 10 mm. The mounting components remain on the rack, and the bag’s back stays clear of protruding hooks. For biking, the padded back carrying system complete with shoulder straps and chest strap is packed away into a concealed zippered front pocket, then for use it can be easily fixed to the back of the Vario. A lightweight helmet cage safely carries your bike helmet when you're not wearing it.
