The fill in this vest is lightweight, packable and water resistant PrimaLoft® ONE.
Whilst synthetic insulation has some way to go to meet the compressibility and warmth to weight ratio of nature's own insulator - down - this PrimaLoft® fill comes close, the main benefits of synthetic over down are that synthetic insulation maintains its insulator properties even when wet. The other benefit is that the synthetic fill is much easier to look after - so ideal for those who like to leave long gaps between visiting the laundry!
The Generator Vest is a superb mid layer for very cold conditions or as an extra layer for belays, rest stops or for camp use. The tiny packsize and low weight mean that the vest can be carried year-round 'just-in-case'!
It uses the latest incarnation of Pertex Quantum fabric and has new external stitch lines to stabilise the fill.
