The new Red Chili Voltage is an advanced bouldering and climbing shoe that marries downturn with flex. The toe is curved, but also quite supported and hence should do well on small footholds. Red Chilli has opted for Vibram® XS Grip rubber – one of the stickiest used in the industry (also found on La Sportiva models). The friction and quality of this rubber will give you the confidence.

The Red Chili Voltage has a knit, wrap-around sock-like tongue, which makes it easier to put this aggressive shoe on, but also helps give your arch a snug, supported fit. The midsole and heel areas actually have a fair bit of flex, giving you a good range of movement and sensitivity for technical heel hooking.
