The Sterling Marathon
Sterling recognized long ago that all climbers can be tough on their ropes, so they designed a rope to go the distance in the most demanding conditions. The most common reason why ropes are retired, other than a severe fall, is premature sheath wear. This truly innovative rope features the thickest sheath (50% more yarn denier than a standard rope) of any rope on the market, making it extremely durable without being bulky. The other main technical innovation shared by the Marathon and all Sterling ropes and cords is DryCore, which provides maximum moisture resistance, keeping all your ropes dry, light and strong.
