Snow Peak
Snow Peak make a full range of high quality lightweight cookware and eating utensils. In 1958, Snow Peak began when founder Yukio Yamai, an accomplished mountaineer, decided to create his own line of superior gear. Dissatisfied with other products that were already available on the market, Yamai sought to produce products to encourage people to enjoy the outdoors with the best quality of gear. Yukio Yamai lived his entire life in Japan in Sanjo City, located in the Chetsu region of Niigata Prefecture. Locally, Sanjo City is known has a hardware town, but it also has a spectacular range of mountains with altitudes of up to 1000 metres, forming a natural boundary between Niigata and Fukushima prefectures. Rivers and streams also flow out to the East Japan Sea and are a natural habitat of the torrent fish. This rich natural environment served as the place that inspired Yukio and it is also this place that is the source of any new outdoor items that have been developed by Snow Peak.
