This map covers the trekking route along the well worn trail from Lukla to Everest Base Camp. Gokyo Lakes are also covered. Both old and new Everest Base Camps are shown, indicating the course of the main climbing route from the camps to the peak. Also marked is the route along the Dudh Koshi valley to Gokyo lakes and the peak of Gokyo Ri, with a variant across the Cho La pass to the main Everest trek, plus the route to Island Peak (Imja Tse). Contours are at 40m intervals, with bold relief shading and vegetation colouring. Index lists places, peaks, passes and lakes. The map has margin ticks with latitude and longitude at 5' intervals. Additional information includes a profile of the main route plus tables showing the routes in stages with altitudes in metres and feet and trekking times. If you are intending to go beyong Gokyo the Three Passes map is recommended. 

Main trekking routes are prominently highlighted, as are selected settlements along them, indicating where tourist accommodation and other services are provided. Also clearly marked are campsites or base camps and various places of interest. The maps also show other local trekking paths, often providing variants or shortcuts to the main routes.
