The La Sportiva Skwama is a soft, sensitive shoe that is packed with features to make it a weapon for almost every style of climbing.

Steep terrain: The Skwama is a performance shoe, with a curled, downturned toe. It keeps its aggressive downturn for longer throughout the life of the shoe thanks to La Sportiva's P3 technology – the yellow 'Permanent Power Platform' that wraps around the shoe to help it maintain its shape over time.

The Skwama also has a generous toe patch for toe-hooking. It's surprisingly soft and supple, so you don't sacrifice any flexibility in the shoe for this feature.

S-Heel: The La Sportiva Skwama also sports La Sportiva's latest heel design, the S-Heel. It's said to be La Sportiva's best-fitting heel design that, although it's comfortable, still effectively pushes your foot into the shoe to give you more power.

Flex: This is a flexible shoe. There's no lining, which gives you a really snug, next-to-skin fit. Plus, it's suede leather, which will mould to your unique footshape over time. But, the really special feature in this shoe is the "camel toe" forefoot part of the sole. There's a split in the rubber, which makes smearing much easier and really lets the shoe spread across the rock for maximum contact.

Super grippy: On the Skwama, La Sportiva uses Vibram XS Grip 2 rubber, which is a soft, sticky variety of top-quality Vibram rubber. It's 4mm thick, which is on the slimmer side – perfect for more sensitivity.
