The Wilderness Equipment Space 1 Tent is a single-person version of the successful Space 2 Tent. The Space 1 combines the features of its larger counterpart with the simplicity of a single entrance and a much lighter weight. At around 1.5 kilos, it's actually quite spacious, with a triangle of extra internal space for your gear, or sheltering a friend in a sticky situation.

Wilderness Equipment uses their unique dihedral 3-way pole hubs to create a low-profile, wedge-shaped tent with an incredibly spacious interior.

With the use of low-denier (lightweight), high-tenacity (strong) nylon fabrics throughout, the Space 1 is extremely light, when you consider that the floor performance has not been sacrificed in the design process. The high-grade polyurethane coating delivers a minimum hydrostatic head of 5000 mm - pretty waterproof.

Impressively, this one-person tent is equipped to stand up to strong wind - conditions that send other tents in this weight category packing. You can invert your walking or ski poles and make them part of the tent framework. Connect up the tent's internal hub-to-hub tension strap as well, and the Space 1 achieves a level of stability only seen in heavy, multi-pole geodesic tents.
